PCS HANDMADE QUILT RAFFLE!

The PCS Quilt Raffle is underway and again we have four beautifully handcrafted, quilted works of art to be raffled off at the conclusion of the PCS PetWalk Sunday, Sept 19th at 3PM. These works of art donated by Kris Tyree, Gert Fowler, Kathy Curley and Karen Nemeczky will be available to view at local community events PCS is attending. Tickets are $1 each or a book of 6 for $5, available now by calling the message center 508-533-5855 or by emailing us at Purrfectcatshelter@yahoo.com. Tickets will also be sold at the PetWalk and other events. You can't win if you don't take a chance, so don't miss out on your chance to win one of these beautiful items.

Quilt #1: Made by Kris Tyree.

The pictures do not do justice to this beautiful 72" x 60" quilt in varying shades of browns and tans. Whimsical marmalade cats grace the quilt throughout. The reverse side of this quilt is the whimsical cat fabric. A beautifully crafted quilt that brings a smile to your face!

Quilt #2: Made by Karen Nemeczky.

Karen's "Meow Mix" watercolor quilt was created by sewing together 144, 2" floral fabric squares in the center, to create the look of a watercolor painting. Seven fabric cats were then appliquéd on, along with fabric flowers forming a daisy chain. The daisy chain is the symbol of unbroken love and good luck. The borders were then added on and the quilt was machine quilted with embroidery embellishments. There is a sleeve on the back of the quilt to hang this 24" square watercolor quilt for everyone to enjoy!

Quilt #3:Made by Kathy Curley.

A pastel delight! Squares and borders of elegant cats enhance this beautifully crafted quilt crafted in shades of pink, blue and yellow. This lovely quilt measures 88"x 76" and would be a gorgeous addition to a young girl's room!

Quilt #4:Made by Gert Fowler.

This years quilt by Gert Fowler is inspired by the whimsical and mischievous cats on the 6 main fabric panels. Shown are kitties climbing everything in mom's (or dad's) sewing room, getting into draws, playing with yarns and thread and so much more! Curtains, shelves and even the sewing machine is not off limits! Done in shades of blues, brown and grays, with complimentary cat fabric bordering the panels, this quilt is sure to please any Purrfect Cat fan, whether you sew or not! The back features more bits of kitty shenanigans and the artist's special tag. Buy lots of raffle tickets for a chance to win one of these amazing creative pieces for this years fund raising!
