It was a purr-fect day for the 9th annual PCS PetWalk held September 16th at the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole. Participants with or without a canine companion enjoyed a nice leisurely walk along the paths of the Aggie campus. Walkers tested their knowledge on trivia posted along the route and kids enjoyed a trinket for making it to the rest station. Back at the main field, were lots of interesting booths, activities for the kids, raffles, an agility course, refreshments and live music by ALL THAT featuring Ruth Debrot and Fred Lungo. We even had a special guest join us “Audrey” the pygmy goat!
Our “Purr-fect Pooch Contest” was a big hit at Canine Capers. Judges chose their favorites in the categories of: wiggliest tail, best bark, prettiest pose, best biscuit catch, best paw-shake and the best dog/owner look-alike. This was a fun event and our congratulations to all the winners.

Many thanks and congratulations to Liz Lofgren, Christine Schneider and Cindy Burns who were the top three fundraisers of PetWalk 2007. We applaud your tremendous efforts in raising money for the homeless animals. This year over $10,100 was raised to benefit the cats and kittens that rely on us for care and shelter. Purrs and thanks to everyone who raised money and supported the PCS booths at the PetWalk. Many thanks to all the volunteers who worked at various PCS Booths and at the rest stations along the walk route. Your enthusiasm made PetWalk a lot of fun for the participants.
