Put on your walking shoes, grab the leash and the dog and come on out for the 10th Annual PetWalk Sunday, September 21 (rain or shine). Join other animal lovers for a 3-mile walk on the grounds of the Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole. Ask family, friends and co-workers to sponsor you for PetWalk 2008. Bring your sponsor sheet to PetWalk 2008 and register anytime between 10am and 1pm then enjoy your walk at your leisure. A shorter hard surface route is available for those who prefer not to walk the paths. Participants reaching certain sponsorship levels will be eligible for prizes. Doggies - don't forget to pick up your doggy bandana at registration (while supplies last) as our thank you for your support too! Everyone is welcome to attend, with or without a dog, enjoy a beautiful walk and show your support for homeless animals. After your walk check out the many booths, rescue groups, demonstrations, pet samples, face painting, games for kids, raffles, live music by ALL THAT and much more on the main field!
Back again by popular demand is the "Purr-fect Pet Photo Contest". Vote for your favorite "Hottest Dog", "Coolest Cat" or "Awesome Other Pet". Want to be part of the fun and show everyone your "Purr-fect Pet"? Submit your photo now or by Sept 13, 2008 and we'll show off your pet at the PetWalk! Photo Contest forms and rules here.
We also have some fun things for you and your dog. Visit the Canine Capers booth and try out the obstacle course and play doggy games. And make sure your back from your walk in time to participate in the "Purr-fect Pooch" Contest starting at 1:45pm! Enter your dog in any or all categories including: wiggliest tail, prettiest pose, best bark, best dressed and best dog/owner look-a-like. Ribbons will be awarded to the "top dog" in each category, 2nd and 3rd receive a prize also.
Let your dog taste of a variety of goodies at the Taste of Walpole Pet Buffet sponsored by Especially for Pets. For the humans, the PCS Refreshment area is where you'll find a variety of goodies for you! You can also take a chance on loads of great raffles including our special "PCS Quilt Raffle". Two beautifully handcrafted quilts made by PCS volunteers will be raffled off at the conclusion of PetWalk 2008 . It's a fun packed day all for the benefit of our furry friends!
Spend the day with your best friend (two or four-legged), family members, co-workers and other animal enthusiasts at the PCS PetWalk 2008 and know that your support will make a tremendous difference in the lives of homeless cats cared for by the Purr-fect Cat Shelter.
